Checklist questions
Is this checklist a substitute for a home inspection?
No. It helps you notice and ask questions. A licensed home inspector, and qualified specialists for radon, water or moisture testing, evaluate the actual condition of the home.
Should I test for radon?
The U.S. EPA recommends testing every home for radon, and North Carolina has an official radon program with resources and test information. A radon test is commonly done during the inspection period of a purchase.
